A new version of this super lightweight approach and descent shoe, specifically shaped for women's feet. The FIve Ten Women's D'aescent is ideal for carrying on climbs to use on the descent and also for ascent of easier pitches. The D'aescent are far better to climb in than most approach shoes. The first men's pair we sold have climbed West Side Story - at Font7b+ or E4 7a that's pretty impressive. At the other end of the scale the D'aescent is proving very popular for indoor instructing.
A flat climbing sole on the front half of the foot allows them to be used on technical ground and a dotty heel and EVA midsole offer grip and comfort on flatter terrain.
Elastic loops on the heels allow the shoes to be held tightly together as a pair, reducing the "dangly bits" hanging off the back of your harness.
A pair of size 8 weigh just 500g - that's the same as a pair of Teva Hurricane sandals!
Stealth rubber soles extend the sole into a thin toe and rand wrap.
Ultra lightweight dual-density EVA midsole.
Synthetic, micro-fiber mesh upper dries fast and resists abrasion as well as keeping your feet cool.
These are sized fairly small for a technical (climbing) fit. Your toes will probably just touch the end of the shoe in your street shoe size, so if you want these for general use we recommend buying a bigger size than usual.
