The Blackwing's padded-tongue has a soft microfibre lining which wicks away sweat and supports the top of your foot. The team shoe heel cup is extra snug and the Mystique™ outsole is specifically designed for ultimate friction on overhanging rock.These have been marketed as a velcro Dragon, but we are not so sure. For FiveTen connoisseurs, this is best described as a Jet7 with improved velcro fastening. In comparison to the Dragon, the Blackwing seems to be higher volume, particularly in the arch and toebox. That said, the sizing is similar, so an 8 in a Dragon is equivalent to an 8 in Blackwings (and a 7 in Anasazi's).

What we say:

The Blackwing fits like second skin but the Velcro brand closure makes it easy to take off and put on. very impressed by the heel construction, narrow and better suited to people who have small / low volume feet.
