The newly released DMM Spectre 2 has evolved from the original Spectre carabiner using the same design characteristics developed for the super light Phantom series of carabiners.

The Spectre 2 is bigger than the Phantom making it a touch more versatile. The DMM Spectre 2 has more metal to cope with bolt damage and will be slightly easier to use in foul conditions, it's comfortably large enough to be used with gloves for winter climbing.

The Dmm Spectre 2 comes in at 32g with a 9kN gate open strength, 8.5mm rope bearing radius and a 25mm gate opening.

The Spectre 2 includes all the usual DMM refinements such as a shrouded nose, an even tension wire gate and a well rumbled finish to remove any sharp edges or clipping lines. It behaves very well on all webbings from 8mm dyneema to 16mm nylon and resists cross loading brilliantly. Like the original the DMM Spectre 2 is available in a range of colours to match your cams.
