A development of the original ATC with two friction modes. The option to switch between standard and high friction make the ATC-XP a superbly versatile belay device.

In high friction mode, v-grooves provide extra grip for use with heavier climbers or thinner ropes and still maintain a lovely smooth action. The standard friction side is identical to the original ATC.
Suitable for single and double ropes.
