The Jetboil PCS is a complete cooking unit, comprising burner unit and insulated cooking pot. When not in use the burner and a 100g gas canister (not included) stows away inside the cooking pot, giving a packed size roughly equivalent to a 1l drinks bottle.

In use the cooking pot locks onto the burner to create an extremely stable unit and the insulation on the cup keeps the outer suface cool enough to touch, even whilst the stove is lit. For when space is limited a hanging kit (available seperatly) is the perfect solution.

The Jetboil is extremely efficient so gas canisters will last ages, making them a good choice for big walls or mountain routes where pack space/weight is a priority. Boil time for 1/2 litre (2 mugs) of water is around 2 mins, each 100g canister will boil approximatly 12 litres and the comlete unit weighs about 1/2 a kilo.

Where weight is not an issue you can use larger sizes of gas canisters, although obviously they won't fit inside the cup for transport. Ideal for anyone wanting hot water on the go but with a variable heat setting allowing you to cook most foods. A pan stand (available seperatly) allows any type of pot/pan to be used with your Jetboil burner, so you can even have fried bacon for breakfast.

Personally, instead of fafing around making a flask in in the morning I use my Jetboil PCS like a kettle. It's lovely to have freshly made tea/coffe instead of something tepid out of a flask and with a boil time of just afew minutes, time is not a problem.
