In Lakes Bouldering Rockfax have produced the first dedicated bouldering guidebook in print to the Lake District. The book spans a range of areas predominantly in the National Park and all north and west of the M6 junction 36. like all Rockfax publications the guide will be most useful to the visiting climber with decent coverage throughout the grades.

The sheer variety of rock and environments in the area, from the seaside sandstone at St. Bees, the high mountain volcanics of the Central fells and  the grit-like (really?) Carrock gabbro to Eskdale granite hopefully means conditions are likely to be decent somewhere in the region on most days of the year.
