Located in southern Germany the Frankenjura is an area with a long climbing tradition, the birthplace of redpointing and the scene of some outstanding climbing milestones. The Frankenjura is internationally known with an enormous selection of quality climbing routes and the outstanding performances of climbers like Wolfgang Gullich. One outstanding feature of the Frankenjura is the varied climbing on almost innumerable often hidden crags, which allow everyone whatever their grade to select a crag suited to their own personal ability.
