Our Staff:
Neil Bentley, Manager
Neil Bentley has been at the front of British climbing for well over a decade. With numerous international trips under his harness as well as appearing in hit climbing films such as Blood, Sweat and Bagels and Hard Grit. Neil pushed the limits of climbing, and left his mark with an outstanding First Ascent of Equilibrium (E10) at Burbage South.
Ed Austin
Ed has loved climbing since the first time he pulled on. Over several years he has enjoyed alpine night's in the cold, scary run outs on trad gear and missing clips gunning for the top of sport routes. The latest trend being late night bouldering sessions in the Peak District with headtorches, Down jackets and coffee.
Joe Cook
Joe has 'sheffield climber' etched into every fibre of his body. Joe has been climbing hard routes throughout the UK for years with tremendous ease. Ascents of Mecca at Raven Tor (without a 5.10 Neon Knee Pad) was one of many highlights for Joe last year. Moving forward, he has his sights set on Yosemite Valley this summer.
Tim Hill
Tim is the epitome of an all round climber, equally at home in the mountains, on ice falls, redpointing sport routes or soloing on the Gritstone outcrops. Tim's knowledge of kit is exceptional.......whether it is a new light weight helmet you want to know about or the foam in a new bouldering pad, Tim has the numbers on the lot.
Al Royle
Alan has grown a solid reputation for crushing. Smooth footwork and solid gear placements led Alan to the top of Lord of the Flies last summer. Bouldering now envelops Alan's thoughts with his sights firmly pinned on crushing and crushing hard.
Jenny Clinging, Accounts
Jenny has enjoyed many years of living in Sheffield and being around the climbing scene. Her favourite crags include Stanage and Froggatt edge. She represents a more saner side to Crag X.
CragX and CragX Climbing Shop are trading names of Foundry Climbing Services Ltd.
